A PUBLIC consultation to get views on potentially closing a busy walk-in centre is due to start this month.
The Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group, which pays for health services in the area, is hoping to launch a three-month consultation on the Guildhall walk-in centre on Monday, November 16.
It was due to start in mid-October but has been delayed as commissioners have been holding more talks with key players such as Healthwatch Portsmouth.
There are four options which take into account the walk-in centre and the registered GP practice at the site.
One option in the consultation is for the services to remain as they are.
The other three options involve the walk-in centre moving to St Mary’s Treatment Centre in Milton Road and the GP services moving.
The three choices for the GP practice would be for it to stay where it is, move to another location or close entirely.
