MORE funds will be raised to help save a young man’s life when people gather at a community centre for a day of fun.

Bouncy castles, balloons, magic displays and Peppa Pig will be among the attractions at the family fun day at Hayling Island Community Centre, in Station Road.

The day will help the Andy’s Army campaign for Andy Prowting, a 24-year-old from Leigh Park who has been told he has months to live.

His family need £60,000 to fly him to Texas for potentially life-saving cancer treatment not available in the UK.

So far, they have raised more than £23,000 in five weeks.

The fun day takes place this Sunday from 3pm until 7pm.

A fire engine and police car will also be there for youngsters to have their photograph taken.

Meanwhile, a charity flashmob will be held by Dynamic Dance Company at Whiteley Shopping Centre from 12.30pm on Sunday, October 26.

Up to 200 students are expected to take part to raise money.
