A CARE home is opening its doors to the public for a workshop on how to stay safe at home.
Care UK representatives will lead the Staying Safe in Older Age session at Pear Tree Court in Portsmouth Road, Horndean, from 2pm until 4pm on Tuesday, September 18.
The event will see police community support officers, Rob Earl and Kieren Rogers, on-hand with safety domestic tips – as well as information on how to avoid falling prey to scams and doorstep crime.
After the presentation there will be a Q&A session, refreshments and an opportunity to meet the Pear Tree Court team.
Home manager, Ray Arnold, said: ‘We understand providing guidance on the importance of staying safe on the internet and at home can be incredibly helpful for everyone, but especially for older people.’
