TAKE a break and have a cuppa to raise money for a cancer charity.

The Macmillan Information and Support Centre, at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham, will play its part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

It takes place on Friday between 10am to midday, and patients, visitors and staff are invited to attend.

Sinead Parry, the centre’s manager, said: ‘We are delighted to take part in this fantastic event and help raise the profile of the charity.

‘We would like to thank everyone in advance for their donations, and Anne Davis, one of the centre volunteers for organising the event and all the other volunteers who give up their time to make the event success.’

Last year more than 100 people attended, enjoying teas, coffees and a selection of cakes and pastries, all of which had been donated, and sales raised £800.

The centre is on B-level and has information leaflets, books, DVDs and tapes for patients as well as internet access.
