AN EMAIL address has been given for people who want to sign a petition to stop hospital car park charges rising.

As reported, the petition was started by Kirstine Impey, after a friend paid out £70 in parking charges in one week, at Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham.

Kirstine, of Fairfield Square in Wymering, said: ‘I’m pleased to see all the positive feedback.

‘I’ve noticed several people are asking how they can sign the petition.

‘If anyone contacts me with their address, I’ll be more than happy to send a petition to them with a free post addressed envelope.’

Carillion last put the prices up in April this year – it costs £1.70 for an hour, £2.80 for two, £4.10 for three, £5.10 for four, £7.30 for up to six, £9.50 for more than six, £11.10 for more than eight, and £16.60 for more than 12 hours.

Some reduced rates are available, and cars displaying a disabled sticker pay £1.70 day.
