THE man who will lead an inspection of the trust that runs Queen Alexandra Hospital wants to hear people’s views.
The Care Quality Commission team will visit Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust to look at how it runs its services over the course of three weeks.
Professor Mike Richards said: ‘The inspections are designed to provide people with a clear picture of the quality of the services in their hospital, exposing poor or mediocre care as well as highlighting the many hospitals providing good and excellent care.
‘We know there is too much variation in quality – these new in-depth inspections will allow us to get a much more detailed picture of care in hospitals than ever before.
‘It’s vital we also hear the views of the people who have received care, or anyone who wants to share information with us.’
That takes place on Tuesday, February 10, at the Oasis Wellness Centre at QA at 6.30pm, and not today as initially stated.
