THIS weekend is the last chance to grab a bargain at the home of a champion fundraiser.
Julie Scarborough is holding her final jumble sale as she prepares to take it a bit slower as she heads towards her 80th birthday.
For 20 years she has opened up her home in Widley, which has been piled high with donated goods to sell for local good causes.
But following the death of her youngest son David from cancer earlier this year she has decided the last event will be for Cancer Research UK.
Julie said: ‘I will still continue to do my fundraising coffee mornings and the Christmas grotto but this Saturday will be the last monthly sale and the last chance to grab a bargain.
‘The bungalow will be absolutely crammed with thousands of clothes for all ages plus shoes, handbags, books bric-a-brac, collectibles, costume jewellery household goods and hundreds of toys.
‘They will be at the lowest prices and throughout the day I will ring a bell which signals another price drop.
‘As usual there will be a raffle and a win-every-time tombola.
‘Everyone who comes along will be given tea, coffee, soup or squash plus a very warm welcome.’
The event is from 11am until 4pm at 9 The Crest.
Entry for adults is 50p.
Early entry, from 10.30am, is £1. Children are free.
