MORE than 100 operations have been rescheduled at Queen Alexandra Hospital as a result of the junior doctors’ industrial action.

The two-day strike, which started yesterday morning, saw 66 operations postponed yesterday.

Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs QA Hospital in Cosham, confirmed a further 54 operations have been rescheduled today.

As reported in The News, the junior doctors have walked out over proposed new contracts.
They say the contracts will stretch doctors making it unsafe for patients.
