TWO friends have made a pact to fundraise for a children’s hospice.

James Snook and Simon Barrett, both from Southsea, will be taking part in the Iron Distance Triathlon challenge and the Brighton Marathon.

The money raised will be donated to Sussex children’s hospice Chestnut Tree House.

James said: ‘My motivator was discovering someone I had grown up with lost their two-year-old daughter to a life-limiting condition, and I want to fundraise for the charity that supported the family.

‘It was the first time in my life I knew I needed to do something to help and was overwhelmed how my friends stood by me when I explained why I needed to do this.’

The marathon is in April and the triathlon in September, visit
