STAFF at a law firm are to scale new heights in aid of The Rowans Hospice.
Eight colleagues from Blake Lapthorn are to take on The Welsh 3000s challenge.
It will see the team climb to the summit of all 15 mountains over 3,000ft in Wales, within 24 hours – without using any form of transport.
The distance to cover is about 24 miles and the terrain is very rocky, with lots or narrow ridges, and both uphill and downhill sections are demanding.
The team from the Blake Lapthorn office in Chandler’s Ford will include Chris Alder, Simon Burge, John Hepworth, Ruth Johnson, Philip Somarakis, Jos Lloyd, Jon Wallsgrove and Stephen Murfitt.
Team leader, Chris Alder, said: ‘The Welsh 3000s is a real challenge.
‘Having said that, it is an exciting opportunity to raise charitable funds for The Rowans Hospice.
‘All of us in the team are very much looking forward to pulling on our boots and getting under way.’
