A MUSIC group visited patients to get them out of their hospital beds and moving.

Folk Active visited the medicine for older persons and rehabilitation ward at Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, Portsmouth.

The patients on the ward enjoyed a session of singing and dancing to music during the visit last week.

This is the first time Folk Active have been to the hospital and it is hoped more music events will take place in the future.

Kerry Budd, operational manager, said: ‘Having people like Folk Active come in visiting the patients is a great boost for them, it gets them out of bed and moving.

‘We hope that we can do many more sessions with them.’
