THE Best of Health Awards is proud to announce it has a new sponsor for the year.

Morris Crocker Chartered Accountants are specialists in the healthcare sector.

The firm is backing the GP Practice of the Year category.

Medical team director Peter Farrier said: ‘We are delighted to offer support and sponsorship for the GP Practice of the Year category and look forward to meeting all the worthy contenders.

‘We deal with a lot of GPs which is why we wanted to take this category.’

Mr Farrier explained what the firm specialises in.

He said: ‘Few accountancy firms can compete with our expertise and proven track record in healthcare.

‘With our established name and reputation, we currently act for more than 120 GP practices and 800 doctors and are key players in the dental, pharmacy and care homes sectors.

‘As a strong, independent practice we are able to recruit staff of the highest quality. The healthcare team was recently strengthened with two highly-qualified healthcare specialists moving across from a national accounting firm.

‘We pride ourselves on delivering a personalised service with detailed knowledge of the highly-regulated healthcare sector.

‘Our staff maintain regular contact with clients so that they are up to date with any changes that affect them and offer advice on a timely and relevant basis.

‘We also produce regular newsletters and alerts when there is a development clients need to know about.

‘We offer a comprehensive range of services, tailored to meet individual needs. Aside from our core accountancy and tax compliance work, we help with financial forecasting, superannuation and payroll.’

There’s only two weeks for people to nominate their health heroes.

The deadline is Friday, July 3, after which entries will be put forward for judging.

The awards night is at the Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday, October 9.

Details on how to get tickets will be given soon.
