A NEW midnight stroll in aid of a children’s hospice is to be launched in Portsmouth.

Naomi House Children’s Hospice will hold its first ladies-only Moonlight Walk in Portsmouth this September.

The hospice, based near Winchester, has previously held the fundraising walk in Southampton, Newbury and Winchester, helping to raise thousands of pounds.

Emma Willshire, events co-ordinator for Naomi House said: ‘We’re really excited about bringing this event to Portsmouth for the first time and hope that it will prove to be a great success.’

The Portsmouth five-mile walk will take place on September 24, starting at the University of Portsmouth’s students’ union and heading along the seafront. It will start at 9pm. Fancy dress is encouraged.

To register visit or call 01962 843513. The closing date for entries is September 21. Early registration is £12 until August 14, and £15 thereafter.
