ALL the Portsmouth surgeons who perform bariatric operations have a zero mortality rate.

The figures were released by NHS England, in a bid to be more transparent.

Bariatric surgery – weight loss surgery – is performed by four doctors at Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham.

All four, Shaw Somers, Stuart Mercer, Simon Toh and Zoltan Shaw, recorded no post-operative deaths at the hospital.
