A POT of £400,000 is available for health trusts to bid for investment to improve patient safety.

The Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is supporting the national Sign Up to Safety campaign to lower avoidable harm in the NHS over the next three years.

Applications of up to £20,000 for per scheme are being invited by no later than October 10.

One-off sunmissions can be made from health trusts including Solent NHS Trust, Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, GP practices, and South Central Ambulance Service.

The initiatives must clearly link with at least one of the five Sign Up to Safety pledges, which includes putting patient safety first; making the NHS more resilient to risks by acting on patient feedback; supporting collaborative learning and supporting people to understand why things go wrong and celebrate improvement.
