LETTER OF THE DAY: Lonely? We can help you in Portsmouth

Have your say

A SERIES of city-wide patient participation group meetings are set to take place in Portsmouth.

As reported, the GP-led Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) discussed holding more of the sessions, after one was held earlier this year.

Portsmouth CCG has 26 member GP practices, each with its own patients’ group that meets in person or online.

The groups talk about health and care issues affecting members.

The CCG is forming a group from these individual ones.

The first meeting saw 27 patient representatives attend from 11 practices.

At a CCG board meeting, the plan to develop these across the city was approved.

The next city-wide PPG forum is due to take place in September, and will focus on walk-in centres and provision of minor injuries services as well as older persons’ mental health services.
