THERE is still time to sign up to a hospice charity ride.

The Rowans Hospice, in Purbrook, has launched the third Ruby Ride event.

Cyclists have until September 5 to sign up to one of three routes, depending on how hard you want to push yourself.

Money raised from the event, which is on September 14 and starts and finishes from Lakeside, Northarbour, goes towards running the hospice.

All those who take part will get a T-shirt, refreshments en route and a medal on completion.

People can sign up by collecting a form or downloading one online.

Cyclists can sign up on the day, but registration will cost £30 for adults and £15 for children.

The routes are:

n Leisure (18 miles) – cyclists loop around Portsea;

n Challenge (30 miles) – along Portsdown Hill, past the hospice and back to Lakeside via Portchester;

n Epic (65 miles) – same as the Challenge route, but going through Petersfield, the Meon Valley, Wickham, and Portchester.
