A FIRST aid training course covering common situations like dealing with bleeding, choking, burns and head injuries is being offered in Portsmouth.

The British Red Cross is running the event on Wednesday, January 25, from 9am and 5pm. It takes place at the Victory Business Centre, Somers Road North, Landport.

Training manager for Hampshire Ed Kerry said: ‘The care given before emergency help arrives can literally mean the difference between life and death – knowing the right thing to do if someone has a cut or burn is also very important.’
