A NEW community hub for pharmacy services is to be opened this week.

The Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Councillor Cheryl Buggy, will officially open the City Pharmacy, on London Road, North End, after a massive re-fit.

The director of Public Health NHS Portsmouth, Paul Edmondson-Jones, will also be at the opening of the centre, which is set to dramatically improve access to pharmacy services in the area.

After a two month revamp period, the new centre now has two consulting rooms, an open plan pharmacy, a comfortable waiting area and a community notice board.

There will also be a designated Health Promotion Bay, to display national health campaigns such as Breast Cancer Awareness.

Hands on displays such as our ‘Re-think Your Drink’ project and ‘Healthy Under Five’ campaign will also be shown at this desk. Opens at 11am on Friday.
