The practice had received several nominations ahead of the ceremony at Portsmouth Guildhall.
Ms Stimpson said: ‘I can’t quite believe it if I’m honest.
‘The feeling right now is just of pure joy and amazement.
‘We have fantastic staff at the practice and this award is testament to all the hard work that they’ve put in.’
The Denmead-based practice’s win meant it was the second year in a row that it has picked up the coveted award.
Ms Stimpson added: ‘We want to say thank you to all our patients who took the time to nominate us for this award.
‘We’re extremely lucky to have such thoughtful and caring patients who make our jobs so much easier.
‘Your kindness really means the world to us and we will always be grateful for you putting us forward to receive this recognition.’
The practice has been nominated in the category for the past seven years.
It covers an area of 80 square miles and has a list size of just over 9,100 patients.
Ms Stimpson said: ‘I think for us it just shows how well we work as a team.
‘From the receptionist who greets you, the dispenser who sorts your medication, the secretary dealing with your referral, the summariser who is ensuring all the procedures are correctly entered to the dedicated nurses, healthcare support workers and finally your GP – without whom none of us would be here!’
Practice partner Dr Tim Goulder said: ‘This is a good testament of the quality of the services that we provide – and it’s lovely that patients acknowledge this.
‘I think it shows that we have a dynamic relationship and partnership with our patients and that the formula works.’
One of the nominations said: ‘It has a caring environment and I always feel listened to, from the GPs to the nurses and reception staff. They go the extra mile.’
Brockhurst Medical Centre in Brockhurst Road was the runner-up in the category.
It was nominated for always giving a warm welcome and being both helpful and efficient.
People said they never felt rushed with their appointments.
