QA Hospital department raises cash and awareness

SELLING bright and colourful gloves saw a hospital department raise £305.

The rheumatology department at Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, organised a funky knit stall on Funky Knit Day to raise money along with awareness of Raynaud’s disease.

The condition causes hands and feet to be sensitive to temperature - often making them numb or painful.

The money raised, thanks to generous visitors and staff of the hospital, will go towards new equipment in the rheumatology department.
