A PUB will host a family fun day and raft race to raise money for a girl with cerebral palsy.

The Castle in the Air pub in Old Gosport Road, Fareham, will raise money for Megan Hill, who has cerebral palsy and had an operation in America to help her walk.

Megan, three, had the operation in April and is in physio, which is why the family still needs to raise cash.

Megan’s mum Tanja Hill, 38, said: ‘If we hadn’t had the operation, then it would be so different. Megan is amazing.

‘We used our own money to fund the operation, but our bucket is empty and we’re fundraising for physio. This is a lovely way to fundraise.’

Landlady Kasia Urban, 32, said she was pleased with all the support so far and thanked Lizard Audio and Lighting Hire for stepping in at the last minute with a stage.

The raft race is being held at 11am and the fun day starts at midday, until 11pm. There will be a bouncy castle, barbecue, face painting and more.
