TIMING of transport, friendliness of drivers and knowledge of services in the area, were all themes picked up in a survey on NHS patient transport.
The survey was done on behalf of seven Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG), including Portsmouth, Fareham and Gosport, and South Eastern Hampshire, which buy in health care for the area.
More than 100 people responded and will help pay for a new service next spring, combining several contracts currently in use.
Dr Mike Johns, lead GP representing the seven CCGs said: ‘This survey has given users of the service a chance to have their say and shape the future of non-emergency patient transport.
‘This will help the CCGs to ensure we are providing a service which meets the needs and expectations of those who use it.
‘We are delighted to see so many took the opportunity to express thoughts and opinions and would like to thank you for taking the time to do this survey.’
