ROTARIANS have thanked shopping centre bosses for allowing them to host a blood pressure event.

The Rotary Club of Fareham Meon held their annual blood pressure checking event at Fareham Shopping Centre.

With the help of nurses from the St John Ambulance and the Stroke Association, the group helped more than 150 people test their blood pressure.

Five of those people were advised to see their GP for further checks within a week and another 21 were advised to pay a visit within a month.

Brian Ray, from the Rotary Club, said: ‘We are grateful to the management of the shopping centre for allowing us to use the space and of course to the hard-working nurses.’
