MORE than 25,000 British military personnel have been found to be obese since 2010, figures show.

Staistics reveal between January 2010 and September this year, 3,000 sailors were classed as obese as they had high body mass index, according to The Sunday Times.

A Ministry of Defence spokesman said: ‘It’s misleading to focus on BMI as this does not differentiate between bodyweight due to muscle and fat.’
