A HEALTH trust is warning of potential disruptions to computer and telephone networks at some services.

Solent NHS Trust, which provides community and specialised mental health services in Portsmouth and other parts of Hampshire, is due to carry out a major programme of improvements to its ICT and telephone infrastructure.

It will start at 10pm tomorrow, and is planned to end at 5am on Monday.

The downtime will be repeated from 10pm on Friday, July 18, to 5am Monday, July 21, if all goes as planned.

A spokesperson said: ‘This is vital and unavoidable work that will, in the main, result in the replacement of ageing and or unsupported devices.

‘Despite an extensive review, there are no alternatives to the downtime. We are conscious this may cause inconvenience to our service users and their families, our partners, suppliers, and we apologise. We are working with the partners we know and think could be affected to ensure that direct patient care remains largely unaffected.’
