YOUNG hospital patients are to be treated to some summer fun with a panto performance.

Children’s charity Starlight has organised a performance of Aladdin for children in the paediatric department at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham.

Matron for the paediatric department Katrina Adams said: ‘For children that are ill in hospital during the summer, when their friends are out playing or going on holiday, it can be a particularly gloomy time.

‘We’re all looking forward to the performance of Aladdin.’

The show will be performed by the theatre group The Panto Company, which has created the performance especially for Starlight.

Starlight is a charity which grants once-in-a-lifetime wishes for seriously and terminally-ill children.

The panto performance will take place at QA next Tuesday.
