FAMILIES in the Havant area dealing with Alzheimer’s are being advised that help is at hand.

Ann Jones, a dementia support worker for the Alzheimer’s Society, runs support groups in Cowplain, Havant and Hayling Island.

She said: ‘Our groups are for carers and for people who are living with dementia.

‘Our groups are all free of charge and we try to bring speakers to the groups such as solicitors to discuss power of attorney and other legal matters, the DWP, Trading Standards, and occupational therapists.

‘We also have activity sessions for the people who are living with dementia.’
