FANCY taking part in a coastal walk to raise money for a charity?

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is calling upon its supporters to sign up for a coastal path walk in the Isle of Wight Challenge.

Participants can choose between the full island loop of 100k, or the 56k ‘half’ island challenge.

John Perry, chief executive of the HIOWAA, said: ‘As we enhance our life-saving service, extending our current flying hours towards the goal of up to 24 hours a day throughout the year, delivering a more comprehensive night-flying service and meeting our target of having a doctor on board for every mission in 2014, our costs are set to escalate.

‘Today it is more important than ever that we raise the vital funds that we need to keep serving the people of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight’.

The walk takes place on the August bank holiday weekend of August 23 and 24.
