BUDDING storytellers can take part in a writing competition.

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, which provides community services in the Portsmouth area, has launched a short story contest, as part of Learning Disability Week,

The trust is inviting service users, carers and staff, to write a story, less than 500 words, for adults with learning disabilities to read.

The theme for the week is superheroes, so people can write a superhero story, or on another topic if they wish to.

All the stories will be entered into a competition and judged by a group of people including those with learning disabilities.

The best ones will be selected to make a book which will be illustrated by Kat Harding.

When entering, people should include their name, whether you are a service user, carer or staff member, a return address and a contact number.

Deadline is September 15 at midnight, email
