THE chief executive of a health trust that provides care in the Portsmouth area, has been celebrated as one of the most inspirational women in the sector.

Katrina Percy, head of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, is included in a list compiled by the Health Service Journal.

All of the women on the list were nominated by HSJ readers and come from clinical and non-clinical backgrounds who stand out for their passion and ability to innovate and drive change.

Katrina said: ‘I feel honoured to be named alongside such truly remarkable women. For me the really inspirational individuals are the staff who work with our patients and service users every day, who are passionate about delivering excellent quality services.

‘I feel privileged to be able to lead an organisation full of such outstanding people.’

A panel of judges, including leading clinicians and representatives from business and the health sector selected 50 of the most outstanding nominees for the inaugural list.
