WOMEN are being urged to grab their last chance to enter this year’s Race for Life as there’s only two weeks left to enter.
The annual event, which starts in Southsea Common on Sunday, July 20, raises money for Cancer Research UK.
If women want to enter either the 5k or 10k route, then they need to do so by July 18.
Fiona Miller, event manager for Race for Life, said: ‘We are very grateful to the women who have already entered.
‘But we still have places left so we are urging women to sign up as soon as possible.
‘Race for Life is not competitive and it’s not about being fit or fast.
‘It’s about thousands of women coming together to show cancer who’s boss.’
Last year 7,624 women took part and helped raise £412,749 – figures the charity hopes to match or beat this year.
Money raised from the event goes towards cancer research to understand and help find a cure for the disease.
