Have your say

READERS are being invited to become ‘bucketeers’ and raise money for a children’s cancer charity.

CLIC Sargent is holding its Big Bucket Collection, between October and December, later this year.

The cause aims to raise £200,000 nationally, which goes towards supporting families affected by childhood cancer.

People are being asked to give up an hour or two and help out in bucket collections for the following dates and venues:

· Friday, October 18, Tesco, in Crasswell Street, Portsmouth.

· Friday, October 25, Asda, in Portland Street, Waterlooville.

· Friday, December 20, and Saturday, December 21, in Tesco, Whiteley.

Collectors can wear fancy dress, play music and invite a school choir along to serenade the public.

December is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and this year CLIC Sargent is highlighting the impact of cancer on secondary school-age children and young people.
