CARERS who open up their homes to vulnerable adults are being honoured.
Shared Lives Plus, formerly known as the Adult Placement Scheme, will be highlighting their work in West Sussex later this month.
The scheme currently provides for 115 vulnerable adults with a range of difficulties who live in family homes across the county.
It means they can experience living within a community setting instead of a care home.
Now West Sussex County Council wants to develop services to older people, vulnerable mothers and babies and young offenders.
People interested in becoming a carer can call 01444 254463 or email email@example.com.
