A TEAM of walkers completed a 20-mile route raising thousands of pounds for premature babies.

The group from charity Ickle Pickles walked from Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, around Portsmouth.

The sponsored walk was raising money for the hospital’s neo-natal unit and generous donations saw the event raise £3,912.

A post on the charity’s Facebook page said: ‘For one of our smallest teams of walkers they did a great job.

‘We were collecting some pennies along the way and with that combined with everyone’s sponsor money, I’m pleased to say that they raised a grand total of £3,912.69.

‘Brilliant total! Well done and thank you to everyone that took part.’
