LOVED up couples can leave romantic messages for their partner and raise awareness of the organ donor register.

In time for Valentine’s Day, salon Hair Tailors, in London Road, Portsmouth, is offering people the chance to buy a cardboard love heart for £1.50.

People can write a message on the heart, which will be displayed in the window of the hairdressers.

For every heart displayed, £1 will be given to The Big Donor Challenge.

As previously reported in The News, firefighters Stu Vince and Phil Jackson, from Cosham fire station, took part in a running and rowing challenge in order to encourage more people to sign the organ donor register list.

It comes after Stu donated one of his kidneys to a family friend and saved his life.

Information on organ donation will be available at the salon.
