DON’T bin them, bring them.
That’s the message to anyone having a summer blitz on their house from West Sussex County Council.
The authority is holding its fourth mobile Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) event of the year on Friday, July 26, at Selsey’s East Beach car park between 8am and 3pm.
Last year more than 37 tonnes of recyclables were collected including more than 900 televisions and monitors.
Councillor Lionel Barnard, who is in charge of residents’ services in West Sussex, said: ‘We would encourage residents to think twice before putting WEEE into their waste bins and to consider if they can reuse it and if not, to take it to be recycled.’
