HMS Bulwark sailors hit new heights in Rock Run

ROYAL Navy sailors pushed themselves to the limit in a tough race in Gibraltar.

About 300 members of HMS Bulwark’s ship’s company took part in the traditional Rock Race.

Dressed in everything from bath robes to banana outfits, the runners tackled 
the 1,300ft ascent of the 2.7-mile 
route.

The first racer finished in a time of 21 minutes.

The event is tackled by each navy crew that arrives at Gibraltar.

Bulwark is an amphibious assault ship and is deploying to the Adriatic and Arabian Seas.

She’s commanded by Captain James Parkin from Portsmouth.
