PORTSMOUTH’S own singer-songwriter Tom Bertram is playing a much-anticipated homecoming gig.
Having worked with David Gray and John Mayer, Bertram will be performing an intimate gig at the Edge of the Wedge on Saturday.
He started to gain attention online after he posted some of his songs to YouTube and was noticed by the likes of Bryan Adams and Noel Gallagher.
Things went from there and he released the seven-song mini album Back Home in 2013.
The album was downloaded more than 20,000 times in five days and peaked at No.1 in the Reverb Nation UK Charts and 42 in the Reverb Nation Worldwide charts.
He is now touring his highly-acclaimed album Dig To Locate.
Bertram’s pop/rock/folk cross-over songs have had wide radio play – and even the Queen got to enjoy them when he performed at her Golden Jubilee.
Tom, 24, says that he can’t wait for the Southsea gig.
