THE first donations for The Rowans Hospice’s Christmas charity appeal have started to make their way to Access Self Storage’s drop-off point.

Helen McPhall, manager of the centre in Herbert Street, said: ‘Last year was such a success as we had over 100 donations.

‘This year we hope that the public will get behind us to support such a great local charity and beat last year’s total.’

Karen Murphy, community fundraiser for the hospice, added: ‘Your collection of toys and unwanted gifts is very much appreciated and it is fantastic to have your support.’
