HOVERTRAVEL services between Southsea and Ryde have been suspended until further notice.

Services are cancelled this morning due to adverse weather conditions over night.

The suspension is expected to last until after 9am.

Peter Mulhern, head of operations for Hovertravel, said: ‘Conditions are very rough this morning where the wind has been blowing in from the channel all night.

‘I would say there will be no services before 9am at the earliest.

‘Passengers using the service will have to use Wightlink of, if they already had tickets, they can claim them for another time.’
