Julia Allen is from One Community, an organisation that supports the community sector in Fareham and Eastleigh.

She said: ‘The voluntary sector is so vibrant in Fareham. I know about these organisations, but even for me, it’s great to see them all in one place.’ She said that, in such a busy world, volunteering was more popular than ever.

Julia added: ‘These days you find people who only have an hour or two to spare, but they can do something amazing with it.’

The day included memorable performances from local community choirs, including the Portsmouth Military Wives. For more information, please call (023) 8090 2458 or e-mail [email protected].
