Hundreds turn out for Remembrance Sunday in Gosport

SILENCE reigned as hundreds of people marked Remembrance Sunday.

Veterans, cadets, scouts and serving sailors from HMS Sultan paraded in front of Gosport War Memorial Hospital.

The mayor of Gosport, Cllr Lynn Hook, placed a wreath on behalf of the borough.

At 11am silence fell on the packed street in Bury Road, as the sacrifices made in conflict were remembered.
