POLICE are searching land around Langstone Harbour after a missing mother’s car was found with its windows open and the keys still in the ignition.

Debbie Ward’s T-reg Toyota Landcruiser was discovered at a quay in Langstone between Havant and Hayling Island on Monday afternoon.

Mrs Ward had left her home in Bognor at lunchtime the previous day and her husband and children have not heard from her since.

The 41-year old, of Priestley Way, Bognor, is said to have been depressed recently. Her family are described as ‘desperately worried’ about her.

She is white, 5ft 9in, with green eyes and long blonde straight hair.

Sussex officers investigating her disappearance have been working with Hampshire police, who are searching the mud flats and other open areas around Langstone Harbour.

PC Heather Mackay of the West Sussex Missing Persons Unit said; ‘We are very concerned about Debbie and anyone who has seen her or knows where she might be is asked to contact us right away via 101 or email’
