THE Contemporary Vocal section of the Portsmouth Music Festival lit up the RMA Tavern Gun Club on Sunday.

The singers kept up with the high standards of the other categories that took place over the weekend.

Dielle Hannah, leader of this vocal section, said: ‘They were fantastic. The standard the young people had was outstanding and to play in an atmosphere that isn’t a school hall makes the vocals stand out for me. It is harder to perform in a place you don’t know.

Classical and Traditional Vocals take place on February 22.
