Apple is about release its latest operating system for its mobile iPhones.
iOS 12 will be available to download at some point today (September 17).

What is iOS 12?
The twelfth major version of Apple's mobile operating system for its iPhones and iPads.
Announced by the American tech giant last week - it will be available at some point today.
It will be bringing a raft of new updates to your iPhone.
When will iOS 12 be released?
It will be available for download at some point today - while Apple have not specified the exact time of release.
However 9to5Mac website have reported that the tech giant has tended to release its new operating systems at 10am Pacific Time – which is 6pm GMT – so under six hours from now!
What are the new features?
There will be a raft of new features released with iOS 12 including speeding up your phone.
On its website Apple says iOS has been ‘enhanced for a faster and more responsive experience all round’.
With things like the camera launching and typing with the keyboard, happening faster than ever.
It will also group notifications together - so that any WhatsApp groups with very active messages will be compartmentalised.
You will also be able to create an Animoji – the moving emoji’s that were launched with iPhone X – of yourself called a Memoji and you can send it to your friends by iMessage.
New feature screen time will let parents manage the time their kids use their phones for.
What iPhones will it be compatible with?
iOS 12 will work on most Apple devices launched since 2015.

How to download iOS 12?
Once the operating system has been released, go onto settings - tap general and then tap on software update.
When the update appears, tap download and install – you will then be asked for your Apple ID and Apple ID password.
Tap agree to the Terms and Conditions and then tap agree.
