Concern as Fareham council tax rise is above inflation for third time in a row

Have your say

DON’T remove sandbags from your homes and businesses.

That’s the message from Hampshire County Council as it warns groundwater levels could lead to flooding.

It says that the level is higher than that of the last major groundwater flooding in 2000.

If there is anymore heavy rain then flooding will be ‘inevitable,’ says the authority. After a few more weeks it will be safe to remove them, if there has just been normal levels of rain.

Dry bags can be stored and used ones taken to Household Waste Recycling Centres.
