RUNNER Mark Gibson managed a marathon in a bid to raise cash to restore St Cuthbert’s Church.

Mark ran a 26-mile route from Portsmouth Cathedral to Baffins Pond, taking in various locations around the city to make up the mileage. The challenge was to help raise funds towards the £100,000 needed by the church in Hayling Avenue to replace the floor and fix the electrics.

Other congregation members walked laps of Baffins Pond.
