CELEBRATIONS are due to take place for the 10th anniversary of one of Portsmouth’s landmarks and a town’s music festival.

The Spinnaker Tower is 10 years old this year and so is the Waterlooville Music Festival.

In a joint birthday celebration on Sunday there will be a free concert presented by Waterlooville Music Festival at Spinnaker Tower.

The performance will feature the Meridian Wind Band, the highly-acclaimed Southampton collective which is well known for performing the sell-out climax to the music festival Last Night of the Proms.

Weather permitting, abseiling off the tower will also be taking place as an added attraction.

The event will take place at 2.30pm.

Tickets are £6 on the door and £5 if booked in advance.
