Journalist to give a talk

JOURNALIST Rory O'Keeffe will be talking about his experiences in war-torn Libya.

Rory, the former political editor at The News, is giving readings from his book The Toss Of A Coin – Views From A Modern Crisis at an appearance at Blackwell’s Bookshop in Cambridge Road, Portsmouth, at 2.30pm tomorrow.

The book, which was published last year, tells the stories of dozens of men, women and children who lived in refugee camps in Tunisia and Libya towards the end of the civil war.

The 37-year-old lived and worked at the Choucha refugee camp, Tunisia, then Sirte, Tripoli and Benghazi, Libya, in the aftermath of the first Libyan Civil War in 2011.
